North versus South, young versus old, evil versus good. The rules were simple: each cook prepares two savory and one sweet dish. Seven guests voted: 16 - 15. The North one - except that one guest didn't get to complete his ballot because the dogs needed walking and, when he had returned, the ballots had been whisked away. Hmm....

It was really special for us, to be invited to this wonderful diner, in such a nice house and in such good company. Thanks a lot! We are liking and appreciating Chicago more and more each day, and in particular admiring the generosity of Chicago´s people.
ReplyDeleteAs we said, the dinner was fantastic, and since we are usually biased for first courses, we will comment on those. We love them both! Especially the incredible preserved lemon touch in the Edamame and the exquisite sauce in the Serrano beef lettuce Wraps.
Thanks!

Everything was delicious, so much so, I had to stop scoring. I was finding it impossible to give one points over the other. Excellent company as well.
